Chumps to champs! St. Louis Blues complete improbable journey to Stanley Cup

By | June 12, 2019

The St. Louis Blues defeated the Boston Bruins 4-1 in Game 7 on Wednesday to win the franchise’s first Stanley Cup.

Ryan O’Reilly and Alex Pietrangelo staked the Blues to a 2-0 lead in the first period, and Brayden Schenn and Zach Sanford added goals in the third as rookie goaltender Jordan Binnington frustrated Bruins shooters for most of the night before Matt Grezlcyk scored late in the third period.

More to come.
